english as a foreign language

Last March 29 i had to take a toefl (test of english as a foreign language) test to prove my english proficiency to the universities that i am applying to. after 4 months of not going to school, kala ko sabaw na utak ko sa english. well okay i attended some review classes but it didn't really help. all it did was familiarize me with the type of tests like reading, speaking, writing and listening test. so during the test day i didn't really feel prepared. plus i came in the testing center with an angry mind because my parents and i just had a fight. so how did i do? well, i wasn't able to answer one question in the reading part, guessed on a few, wasn't able to completely answer the question in the speaking part and didn't read the reading passages too well; so basically i just winged it, i just winged the test. to prove that, i finished the earliest. i was the first one out the building. shit. not good. in the history of taking tests, finishing early only means two things. it's either you know the topic really well and breezed through it or you don't know the topic and guessed. i'm with the latter part. and so fifteen days later the results came out. ok not to brag or anything but i got 110/120. good enough cause i was expecting a lower grade but one that is enough to satisfy the requirements of the universities. how's that for having english as a foreign language? i guess it's not so foreign after all.
